A Nia Moving Meditation

A Nia Moving Meditation

Sunday, March 15th, 1 – 3pm
Northborough, MA

Are you disconnected from the sensation of pleasure in your body after a long, house-bound winter? This workshop is designed to ease you back into feeling connected, joyful and at ease in your body. Mixing movement and meditation, this workshop is not a standard Nia class, but instead is a Nia experience not to be missed.

Led by Nia black belts Jenny Silverberg and Donna McGurk, this gentle workshop based on the principles of Nia, and accompanied by the healing tones of crystal bowls, will guide you through simple movements designed to raise your awareness of the sensation of pleasure in your body. As you move out of your mind and settle into your body, you will begin to experience comfort, relaxation, and ease. A wonderful way to refresh and rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit!

We look forward to sharing this experience with you!

Location: Studio Joy, First Parish Church Hall, 40 Church Street, Northborough, MA

Cost: $30

I want to share what I got from attending the Moving Meditation. I usually don’t do Nia nor have I done any meditation for decades. I went with a 1.5 week old lower back pain which I very rarely get. During one of the segments, the pain in my back suddenly disappeared. There was another segment that was a real emotional stretch for me but I was quite surprised that I was able to glide through it with comfort and ease. The atmosphere was amazing to me. So I feel I benefited both physically and emotionally. Fabulous crowd swell and so glad I went. I had an incredibly successful day the next day and feel I’m still benefiting days later.
